PASTA 401 with Domenica Cooks: Homemade Gnocchi
PASTA 401 with Domenica Cooks: Homemade Gnocchi
UPDATE: THIS CLASS IS SOLD OUT
SATURDAY, SEPT. 19, 12 PM: If you love classic potato gnocchi but are apprehensive about making them at home, this class is for you. This is one in a series of pasta classes I am teaching on Zoom ~ yes, gnocchi (pillowy potato and flour dumplings) are considered a form of pasta.
We will start at the beginning, by learning which potatoes make the best gnocchi, how to cook them, and how to mix and shape our potato dough into beautiful gnocchi. We will also make two types of sauce to go with our gnocchi.
You will receive the recipes as well as a list of ingredients and equipment needed a week before class. The day before class, you will receive an email with a link to join the class on Zoom.
Other classes in this series are:
Pasta 101: Semolina Pasta and Hand-Made Shapes
Pasta 201: All-Purpose Pasta and How to Cut Noodles
Pasta 301: Ravioli and other Stuffed Pasta
Pasta 501: Special Shapes (a rotating selection of “showstopper” pastas and sauces)
All classes take place on Zoom and generally run between 90 minutes to 2 hours. Space is limited to 6 to 8 participants so that everyone can get the individual attention needed to successfully make perfect little pillows of potato gnocchi.
Making gnocchi from scratch can seem daunting, but it's also rewarding and once you get going, you'll be unstoppable!
